2016 Ashwood Devons Bull Sale

On the back of a very successful Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), Ashwood Devons enjoyed a very successful bull sale on 21st August with an 80% clearance of offered bulls. The top priced bull (Ashwood Krakatoa) went for $9250. The spirited bidding was finally won by Cliff and Karen Lyon of Ellenborough. The average bull price for the day was $5400. It was a beautiful spring day and most of the 70 people attending spent some time inspecting the animals on sale. After listening to guest speaker Dave Smith the silent auction began and bidding was constant. On the completion of the sale guests and buyers were invited to stay for lunch....
